Sarah Klau is one of Australia’s premier defensive netballers, renowned for her commanding presence in the circle and consistency at the highest level. A standout Goal Keeper and Goal Defence for the NSW Swifts, Klau has established herself as a cornerstone of both her club and the Australian Diamonds.

Originally from Adelaide, Klau began her elite netball career with the Adelaide Thunderbirds in 2016 before relocating to Sydney to join the NSW Swifts for the inaugural season of the Suncorp Super Netball league. Making her Swifts debut in 2017, she impressed immediately in Round 1 and went on to feature consistently in the Swifts’ backline, quickly becoming one of the competition’s most reliable defenders.

Klau has had success at club level, winning two Premierships (2019, 2021) and playing in three Grand Finals. 

At international level, Klau is a key member of the Australian Diamonds, having first been selected in the national squad for the 2018/19 international season. Her international achievements include Commonwealth Games gold in 2022 and Netball World Cup gold in 2023, further cementing her status as one of the world’s elite defenders.
