Oscar Steene is a developing ruckman at Collingwood, known for his athleticism, size, and strong marking ability. He was signed during the 2023 Supplemental Selection Period after impressing with West Adelaide in the SANFL and earning an invite to the South Australian Draft Combine.

Though yet to make his AFL debut, Steene has shown promise in the VFL, including standout moments such as a towering mark and goal against Box Hill.

His early career has been marked by resilience and flashes of high potential, positioning him as a player with significant upside in Collingwood’s ruck division. This promise was recognised in 2025, when Steene signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until at least the end of 2027, reinforcing Collingwood’s belief in his long-term development.
