Originally from Ireland, Niamh Martin made a seamless transition from Gaelic football to Australian rules, quickly adapting her game to the demands of the AFLW. She arrived at Arden Street following an impressive period with Gaelic football powerhouse Tipperary across 2022 and the early part of the 2023 season.

Quick and agile, Martin is known for her strong line-breaking ability, pace, and competitive edge, bringing energy and attacking intent to her role. She was a lively contributor during the club’s premiership-winning 2024 season, kicking seven goals from nine games and showcasing her impact at the highest level.

After the 2024 season, Martin returned to Ireland in 2025 to complete her studies before resuming her AFLW career. At the conclusion of the 2025 season, she was traded to Hawthorn Football Club, where she now looks to continue her development and build on an exciting start to her AFLW journey.
