Jasmyn Smith is a dynamic midfielder known for her elite aerobic capacity, fearless ball attack and natural leadership. Originally drafted by the Gold Coast SUNS, Smith made her AFLW debut at just 18 and quickly became a fan favourite for her relentless work rate and composure under pressure. In 2024, she joined the Western Bulldogs via trade and played every game in her debut season at the Kennel.
Building on that momentum, Smith enjoyed a strong 2025 campaign, featuring in nine matches and continuing to grow her influence through the midfield and wing. She averaged double figure disposals across the season, showcasing her running power and ball-winning ability, while producing standout performances that highlighted her consistency and impact.
Raised on the Gold Coast, Smith’s sporting pedigree runs deep in the family with her mother Commonwealth Games badminton medallist, and her father played in the Geelong Football League and competed professionally in triathlon. Jasmyn’s junior career included premierships with Broadbeach, captaincy honours and standout performances for Bond University in the QAFLW. She also co-captained Queensland’s U18 state team and was named in the SUNS Academy Team of the Year.
