Grace Beasley is a composed, high-IQ midfielder who made a unique transition to AFLW after six years competing in elite college basketball in the United States. With an NCAA background at Montana State and Northern Arizona, Grace brings exceptional spatial awareness, endurance and leadership to the field, traits shaped by her time in the high-performance basketball system.
Joining Melbourne ahead of the 2024 season, Grace made her AFLW debut and featured in three matches, averaging 11 disposals, six tackles and three clearances per game. She kicked her first AFLW goal in Round 3 against Brisbane, breaking a scoring drought and earning praise for her composure and poise under pressure in a key moment.
Late in the season, Grace unfortunately suffered an ACL injury at training, bringing her campaign to an early end. Her recovery is progressing well, and she remains contracted with the Demons as she continues her rehabilitation, determined to return stronger and build on an impressive start to her AFLW career.
