Gabby Seymour
Gabby Seymour is a versatile tall utility whose elite mindset, consistency and leadership have made her a pillar of Richmond’s AFLW program since its inception. Originally signed as a cross-code rookie from volleyball in 2019, Seymour quickly transitioned into a key defensive and ruck role, playing 57 of a possible 59 games by the end of 2023.
Across the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Seymour continued to be a reliable presence in Richmond’s backline, using her strong marking, composure and defensive pressure to influence contests week after week. A tough, team-first competitor, she remained a trusted contributor within the Tigers’ structure, anchoring defensive setups and bringing valuable experience to a developing group.
Known for her match-saving smothers, aerial presence and relentless work ethic, Seymour has finished top three in Richmond’s Best & Fairest on three occasions (2020, 2022, Season 7). In 2023, she was named vice-captain, reflecting her influence both on and off the field and her standing as a respected leader within the club.
Beyond footy, Seymour is a vocal advocate for women in sport and has gained industry-wide respect for her leadership and community engagement. Her story resonates with themes of adaptability, resilience, and high-performance culture - making her a strong fit for campaigns focused on leadership, female empowerment, and cross-disciplinary athleticism.
