Eden Zanker is one of the AFLW’s most dynamic and versatile forwards, renowned for her athleticism, aerial ability and scoreboard impact. Selected with Melbourne’s first pick in the 2017 AFLW Draft, Eden broke into the senior side in 2018 season and quickly established herself as a key figure in the Demons’ forward line.

A supremely gifted athlete, Zanker has gone from strength to strength since joining Melbourne, with the club playing a pivotal role in her development. After enjoying her most consistent season in 2019, Eden continued to elevate her game, with 2021 marking a breakout year where her influence and confidence reached new heights.

Primarily deployed as a forward, Eden has also showcased her versatility by spending time through the midfield and in the ruck, underlining her adaptability and football IQ. Her evolution culminated in a standout 2023 season, where she was named AFLW All-Australian and finished as the league’s leading goalkicker, playing a crucial role in Melbourne’s attacking structure. She was also part of the Demons’ 2022 premiership winning side, adding silverware to her impressive resume.

At the conclusion of the 2025 season, Eden was traded to Fremantle, embarking on an exciting new chapter of her AFLW career with the Dockers.

Off the field, Eden is currently completing her Horticulture Apprenticeship at Cranbourne Racecourse, demonstrating her commitment and work ethic beyond football.
